Outreach sewing day, March 25, 2017

A large group of members from the guild met on Saturday to work together on a large variety of outreach projects. We worked on slab blocks for the Canadian Quilters Association. Our notion of the month for the March meeting was a strip of green fabric. This pile of fabric turned into a lovely slab block quilt.
Charlene is ironing up the borders for one of our comfort quilts, given to members.
There were also children’s aid quilts and Veteran’s quilts,
 including this finish by Mibsie.
It’s amazing the amount of work that can be done by a committed and dedicated group of quilters. Add to that, companionship, talk and laughter, and how could it possibly get any better. Thanks everyone.
