Kathy Wagner will be hosting a Miniatures workshop for the LFQG on Friday, March 9th, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There are several spaces left in the workshop and it is now open to non members of the guild as well. Cost is $45.00 for non members of the guild and $35.00 for members. Pictured below is the display of samples for Kathy’s workshop:
Spend a day with Kathy in miniature quilt heaven!
You will learn how to make a variety of little quilts using various techniques including paper piecing, regular piecing, strip piecing, and Solvy work. Projects are geared to a wide range of quilting experience from beginners to experts. This class is ideal for quilters who want to use up scraps leftover from large quilts…no scrap is too small!
You will receive the instruction sheets for all projects, but will only focus on two projects to start with . You will hopefully have time to finish piecing your two projects within class time, depending on how much time you spend visiting, eating, and laughing!
In the morning you will select one project to begin working on and in the afternoon you will work with the morning’s scraps. NB…stealing fabric bits out of your neighbour’s garbage is encouraged!
