Members were welcomed to meeting by President, Sharon R:
– Condolences to both Beth C. for the loss of her husband and Mibsie B. for the loss of her sister in law. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
– Workshops are good value as the cost is $45 compared to others costing $ 125 or more at CQA. The goal is to provide members with good workshops with a break even financial impact. In order to do this, enough attendees to make it worthwhile is required. The alternative is to limit the number of workshops held, increase prices and/or cancel if not cost effective.
– President’s Challenge clarified: quilt any size, not new material, redesign an unfinished project, make something from nothing, reuse.
– Invitation from Western Fair Home and Outdoor Show for the Artisans’ Aisle from April 3 – 5. Cost for a 6 foot table is $ 300. Guild has other initiatives pending so cannot participate this year. If members are interested in participating on their own, – contact President Sharon for the correspondence.
