At the March meeting, Jill Buckley, “Quilt Artist Extraordinaire” was a guest. Guild members who had participated in Jill’s Workshop, “Embellished Wool Applique”, brought in their projects to show her. There was another fun and productive LFQG Sew-in-Day on Feb 22, 2014. Lorna and her Program Committee have been doing a fantastic job organizing these sewing days. There was a lot accomplished by everyone who was there. It is inspiring to see the work of other quilters, to get great hints on how to do different
Last Thursday’s Meeting turned out to be a great one for our Community Outreach Program. Guild members were very generous in donating quilting supplies to be sold and then in buying “quilty stuff’” that that others had brought in. The total amount raised was $431.00.
