Here’s this week’s sampler block, Squares Within Squares.
Cutting Instructions
Dark fabric: cut 1 square @ 3 1/2 inches
Light fabric #1 cut 2 squares @ 2 inches
cut 2 rectangles @ 2 inches x 3 1/2 inches
Light fabric #2 cut 2 squares @ 2 inches
cut 2 rectangles @ 2 inches x 3 1/2 inches
Sew the light fabric #1 and light fabric #2 rectangles together as shown in the picture below. Sew the light squares together also as shown in the picture.
Arrange the 2 inch square units on either side of the 3 1/2 inch square as shown and sew together. Take note of the fabric colour placement.
Arrange the rectangle units as shown below and sew together. Again, take note of the colour placement.
