The April meeting of the London Friendship Quilt guild was held last week and a good time was had by all those who were able to make it. We almost had to cancel the meeting due to the threat of freezing rain, but our vendor of the month and speaker were both able to make it and get home safely before the storm hit. Our vendor of the month was Bert from Grantham books. He brought a lot of books along for us to browse through. A lot of the books found happy new homes :-).

Happily shopping through the book selection:
During the break members could take books our from our well stocked library:
Our speaker for the evening was Ruth Kennedy of Fergus. She presented a trunk show, “Finding my Wings” and we enjoyed seeing her lovely quilts!
Some of Ruth’s quilts (apologies for the lighting…there was a fluorescent light right above the quilts, so the colouring on some of these quilts is a little off)
This is the project we will be doing in the workshop this Saturday (Reminder to the members taking the workshop…it’s this Saturday, April 20th at the Church from 9:00 to 4:00):
More photos of the meeting can be seen here.
