Anne Lyons wasn’t kidding when she named her March 29th workshop “Quilting Tips, Tricks and Other Stuff”. It was a day packed with information on useful tools, storage ideas and dollar store finds. She taught several ways to make flying geese and half square triangles, introduced paper piecing and demonstrated a disappearing four patch and nine patch, easy log cabin construction, a fast and fun landscape and a new technique for basting a quilt. Amazingly there was also time to work on two projects-a fast and fun table topper of baby blanket depending on fabric used and a border print table topper with mitred corners. Everyone agreed it was a most informative and fun filled day. Anne was both patient and accommodating and she even brought cookies.
