Kathy Wagner comes to town…….

The London Friendship Quilt Guild had the privilege of hosting Kathy Wagner at our guild meeting on Thursday evening. Kathy presented a trunk show of her delightful quilts – larger and teeny tiny! She began by asking everyone if they considered themselves creative and artistic. By the time she finished her trunk show, and asked the question again, many of us were a little less timid in raising our hands :-). Here is Kathy showing a couple of her small blocks:

Show and tell is always a highlight at the guild. It gives us lots of inspiration to make different quilts and to see what everyone has accomplished. Here is Rose’s quilt from the Robyn Pandolph workshop a few years ago (maybe there’s hope for the rest of us finishing ours LOL):

Carol is working on a cool quilt:

A new quilt shop is opening in Hyde Park, London on March 17th…a free pattern for this quilt designed by Jill Buckley will be available! That’s exciting news to hear of another quilt shop opening….

For more pictures of the meeting and show and tell, see the web album here. Kathy has also done a blog post on her visit to our guild. Check it out here.
