It was a cold and windy night, but we still had a good turnout for our February Meeting. President Micki was away, so Lorna M very ably chaired the meeting.

After break, instead of a Speaker, 6 of our guild members gave Demonstrations of quilting “Tips and Techniques“. There is an amazing amount of talent and knowledge in our guild and these 6 members shared some of theirs with us.

We would like to congratulate guild member Lyndsey J. She has accepted a position with the Library Department of Athabasca University in Alberta. Good Luck in your new job and please come and visit us at a guild meeting when you are home for a visit. Thank you to Lyndsey’s mother, guild member Lorraine J., for providing us with cookies at break to celebrate.

Gail ML shared an update regarding our London Roads raffle quilt. It was won by Kaitlyn R. Kaitlyn’s Grandmother had purchased a block of tickets and put family members names on the tickets and Kaitlyn’s was the ticket that was drawn. She was presented with the quilt at Christmas and as you can tell, she absolutely loves it!

We had another great “Show and Tell” and then the drawing of the tickets for fat quarters, a special package donated by Judy and the gift basket. Judy also donated a book to the Library.
