This meeting was our annual rummage sale. Members brought things they wanted to sell, that hopefully another member would want. The funds raised go to our outreach committee, which looks after the Quilts of Colour, quilts and pillow cases for Children’s aid and also the comfort quilts for our members. We had a large amount of goods for sale, and a large numberof members shopping.
After the rummage sale, Lorna was able to announce that there are volunteers to fill almost all the executive positions for next year! What a great group of quilters we have. Thank you to all who have come forward, willing to give of their time and talents.
Show and tell was next. Gail M showed us a couple of zipper pouches she’d made, as well as some pincushions.
Susan showed the blocks she’s making for Lorna McMahon’s Christmas sew along.
Anne L showed her finished stained glass wall hanging, started in a workshop last year.
Kim Z showed us her Christmas tree skirts.
Jacqui V showed us her finished Canadiana Row quilt.
Gail S showed a Christmas table runner
And this lady, unfortunately I don’t know her name, showed us her snowball Christmas themed quilt. For more photos from the meeting, go here.
