October 11 Meeting – Sonya Nanos

Cathy Shepherd and Charlene O’Donnell will be our speakers at the next meeting. They will be leading a workshop on English Paper Piecing on Saturday, November 10 from 9 am to 4 pm. The cost is $25.00 plus $15.00 for the kit. Contact Kim to book your spot. kjzwicker1164@live.ca

The Quilt In day is on Saturday, December 1 from 8 am to 8 pm. Bring that UFO you have been wanting to finish or start that new project. Please bring your lunch and supper will be provided. Contact Kim to book your spot.

Quilt Canada 2019 – Quilting Goes Viral will be held in Ottawa from June 12 to 15,. Teresa announced that we will be participating in the Member Guild Challenge – Quilting Goes Viral

The Theme: “Quilting Goes Viral.”
Please use Pantone, colour #18, Ultraviolet (the 2018 Colour of the year), or the equivalent KONA colour, Bright Periwinkle, along with up to two (2) additional colours on the face of your quilt
The quilt perimeter is to be no larger than 72 inches.
Each quilt must be finished with either binding, facings or enveloped pillow case style.
Please ensure that there is a hanging sleeve, at least 3 inches wide, for display purpose.
All quilts must have a label with the Quilt name and Quilter’s name visible on it.

Teresa will find the fabric. If you wish to participate your entry will be due for the May meeting. We will vote on the quilts and the winner will have their quilt displayed at the CQA.
