Sharon R welcomed everyone to the first meeting of the new year. She related that the executive had decided that it was best to keep to our 2 year time line regarding our Quilt Show. Our next Quilt show will be in October 2020 and Sharon asked for volunteers to head this committee and please notify her asap. We do need a location for the Quilt show.
The survey designed by the Program Committee was handed out and members were encouraged to fill it in and hand it in during break. Doing so would result in an additional ticket for the fat quarter draw.
Sharon spoke about the need for a Location Committee to decide about a new location. She asked for volunteers for this committee.
Our Comfort Quilt Committee will now be called our In Reach Program. Currently we have no quilts, but have some blocks and are in need of a Comfort Quilt Coordinator. Sharon called upon the members to volunteer. The Comfort Quilts are given to a member who is in need of comfort due to illness or a death in the family.
This year we will conduct a Constitution Overview. We will be given a copy in the new year to peruse and then discuss at the May meeting.
We do ask for various notions for charities at our meetings. It is not expected that you support each and every one of these worthy causes. Please choose what you would like to support, and thank you.
Each meeting the Agenda will be posted as you enter the hall.
President’s Challenge will be announced at the next meeting. This challenge will result in quilts being displayed at the Quilt Show.
If you volunteered for Mentoring you will receive a call from a member of the executive soon. Thank you.

Mary W spoke about Operation Smile and was so pleased with the donations made tonight. Several people helped by donating fabric, binding and by sewing. The following were recognized and Mary hopes she did not miss anyone: Sharon G, Mibsie, Sharon R, Rose, Lisa St. M, Judy F, Pat F,

Edith W asked for volunteers to help with cutting the kits for the quilts. She has a sheet in the Sign Out book where you can fill in your name and preferred time of day to come to her house to cut fabric for quilt kits.
Judy reported that as of tonight we have 62 returning members, 4 new members and 2 visitors. The early bird prize for preregistering was won by Bertha.
