To make bias strips, cut 1 square of light green (G1) 6” x 6”. Cut in half diagonally. Use one of the triangles to cut 4 or 5 pieces of bias 1/2” wide. You will only need one of the triangles, so save the other triangle for another project
List of Supplies
Pressing board. You need a hard surface to iron on. I suggest using a piece of wood (or a similar hard surface) approx. 1” x 15” x 15”. Cover with a thin layer of batting (or flannel) and a layer of cotton fabric.
Mini Iron. I recommend the Prym Dritz Mini Iron.
Small scissors to cut fabric with. I recommend Karen Kay Buckley’s Perfect Scissors (green handle).
Stiletto or Tailor’s Awl.
Spray starch. I use Easy On, which is available in grocery stores. You can also use Best Press, which is available in quilt shops.
Small jar with lid.
Small paint brush (width of bristles should be approx. 1/4”).
Applique needles.
Favourite thimble or Thimble Pads.
Clover blue water soluble marker (thick).
Thread to match applique fabrics. I recommend Mettler 60 weight or Aurifil 50 weight.
Paper scissors to cut freezer paper.
Clover 1/4” bias maker.
Roxanne’s Glue.
