Members were greeted by Kim Z, Program Coordinator with “Bonjour” and a Trip to Paris Christmas Celebration. Tables were decorated and set for French pastries and treats.
Before the celebrations began, President Sharon welcomed all in attendance with several news items:
– Letter and corresponding postcards received from the Jewish Community Centre for their Genesis And Exhibition of Quilts. Dates: Thursday, March 12 to April 2, 2020. Open to the public, free admission. Invitation was offered to our Guild to enter a themed quilt.
– 9 matted “Weapons of Mass Creation” prints, suitable for sewing room, were donated to the Guild and are available for $10. See Mary W.
– Meals on Wheels advised Edith W. that someone had donated all the placemats they need. We will donate instead to the Strathroy Meals on Wheels/VON. Susan C. will deliver 103 placemats to tomorrow.

Program Kim Z
– Anne Lyons is the guest speaker for the January meeting. A workshop will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 on Paper Piecing, cost is $45, small supply list. 2 patterns available, samples provided. There are spots available -contact Kim at kjzwicker1164@live.ca
– Winner of the draw for the block challenge: Teresa B. Next month’s block will be posted to the Blog.
Quilt Show Micki A.
Show is October 23 and 24, 2020 and the contract has been signed for the Siloam United Church. Boutique – start making items to sell. – Everyone is invited to enter quilts, especially those who have never entered a show before.
Social part of the meeting was provided by the Program Committee. The Program Committee members are Kim, Candi, Susan D. Lorraine, Yvonne, Teresa, Sharon R. and Toni. Members were entertained with French themed games and treats. Committee members were thanked for providing authentic French cakes, including a delicious Noel Log for each table made by Teresa B, and a great evening of collegial fun.
