On Thursday, June 12th we celebrated a great LFQG year by having our Annual Banquet.  This year’s banquet was held at a very unique venue, Fanshawe Pioneer Village.  The dinner was held in the Miller Barn.  The dinner was very nice (either chicken or salmon) and the dessert was delicious Strawberry Shortcake. It is with great pleasure that we announce that Ruth M. from our guild has won 2 awards at Quilt Canada 2014 in the National Juried Show.  She won 2nd place in the category “Traditional Wall and  Bed Quilts from a Pattern or Book”.  She also won the most prestigious  “Viewer’s Choice Award” for all categories in the National
